Welcome to Sussex County Pride, the first LGBTQ+ advocacy group in Sussex County, New Jersey! We believe that action on a local level as an important component to empowering members of our community.
Our History
Sussex County Pride began in 2017 as an event run by a women's advocacy organization.
After the original organization dissolved in 2019, Sussex County Pride became an independent organization, continuing the tradition of Pride events while advocating for the LGBTQ+ community and fostering safe, inclusive spaces across Sussex County.
Pride, Advocacy, Action
Pride celebrates the LGBTQ+ community through our annual Pride events each June, along with social gatherings and community programming throughout the year.

Advocacy includes participating in charitable initiatives, collaborating on community fundraisers, and partnering with organizations that share our commitment to strengthening and supporting Sussex County.​
Action involves engaging in meaningful dialogue about LGBTQ+ issues at the local level, whether through community discussions, local media, or public policy, while advocating for proclamations, visibility, and legislation that support our community.
